Update Glozin to Version 3.0.0

With version 3.0.0 of Glozin, we’re excited to introduce Shopify’s new Block features, giving you more flexibility to customize your store. Since this is a big upgrade, updating requires a manual process instead of automatic migration. Don’t worry — just follow the steps below and you’ll be all set with the latest version.

Step 1: Duplicate your theme

Before making any changes, create a backup of your live theme.

  • Go to Online Store > Themes.

  • Click Actions > Duplicate. This will create a safe copy of your current theme in case you need to restore it.

Step 2: Remove specific sections and blocks

To make sure your theme updates smoothly, you’ll need to remove some sections and blocks from your customized theme.

A. If you are using any of the following sections, please remove them completely wherever they are applied in your theme:

  • Featured product

  • Banner packery

  • Counter

  • Outfit idea

  • Image with text overlay

  • Multi content

  • Promotion banner

  • Help center

  • Slideshow with banner

B. If you are using the following sections, please remove the specific blocks listed below:

  • Image with text overlay → remove the Image block

  • Quickview → remove all active blocks

  • Product information → remove all active blocks

  • Image comparison → remove all product blocks

  • Main password page → remove Countdown, Subscribe form, and Text blocks

  • Page FAQ → remove all active blocks

Step 3: Remove the Scroll animation

To avoid conflicts with the new version, please turn off the scroll animation in your theme settings:

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

  2. In the left panel, open Theme settings.

  3. Select Animation.

  4. Set Scroll animation to None.

  5. Click Save.

Step 4: Install the app

Install the NS - Discount in Cart app using the link provided here.

Step 5: Connect the app to your duplicated theme

  1. Open NS - Discount in Cart from your Shopify admin.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select the duplicated Glozin theme (the one you prepared in Steps 1–4).

  4. Click Save.

Step 6: Update the theme through the app

  1. In the app, go to Nextsky Themes.

  2. Select Update Theme and click the Open button.

Step 7: Choose what to copy

  1. You can select the config, template, language, and other files you want to copy to the new version.

    • If you don’t need to copy certain files, simply leave them unchecked.

  2. Click Update Theme.

Step 8: Review and publish

  • After the update, a new version of the theme will be added to your store.

  • Review the config, template, language, and other files to make sure everything looks correct.

  • You can also refer back to your main theme and recreate the sections and blocks you removed earlier (Step 2–3).

  • Once you’re satisfied, publish the new version to go live.
